2025 Cal South Adult Open State Cup presented by Cal South & UPSL
Join the toughest Adult Cup competition in California!
The Cal South Adult Open State Cup, co-hosted by the UPSL, is back again for 2025! This year’s intensely competitive tournament will feature a Men’s Open division where the best adult soccer teams from across California will compete for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize and the title of State Champion!
The tournament will begin on the weekend of January 25-26 and culminate in a final to be played at the OC Great Park Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine on the weekend of March 8-9, 2025.
The Cal South Adult Open State Cup is a marvelous opportunity for adult soccer players to come together and compete for an incredible prize. We encourage all adult soccer teams in Southern California to register today!

Tournament Dates: January 25 through March 8/9, 2025

- Alternate Date Weekend: Feb. 15-16 (if competition size increases)
- Quarterfinals: Feb. 22-23 [Location: Lake Forest Sports Park]
- Semifinals: Mar. 1-2 [Location: Lake Forest Sports Park]
- Finals: Mar. 8 or 9 [Location: Irvine Great Park]
Format:
- 24 Teams
- Group Stage: 8 groups of 3 teams each. Teams are guaranteed one home and one away match in the group stage. Home team is responsible for providing field.
- Knockout Stage: Winners of each group – Ties after 90 minutes go straight to penalty kicks.

- $10/player registration for non-UPSL Teams

Entry Deadline:Â January 10, 2025
- Eligibility: Clubs who participated in a Sanctioned League in 2024
- Referees: payment split by teams up to and including the quarterfinals
