Host a Coaching Event

Cal South is ready to assist leagues and clubs in customizing a coaching event to the needs and demands of their local area coaches. We offer US Soccer coaching licenses for all competitive coaches of our clubs.

Once the event is created, we will email the event registration link to the host so they may share it with their members.

Who can host

The host placing the request should be a board member of a league or club affiliated with Cal South.

Course Attendee / Host Prerequisites

  • Minimum participant age: 16 years old
  • Minimum number of participants: 12 attendees
  • Point of contact for host who will be at the event
  • Host must provide one (1) team for the 2-hour field portion

Facility Requirements for In Person Licenses

Total course length: 4 hours. The duration of either license course is 4 hours total.

Traditional Format
  • Field for 2 hours (unlined okay)
  • Classroom for 2 hours (presentation media ready)
  • One team for admins to conduct training
  • Host’s facility permit available if needed on the day of the event
  • Bathroom available
Blended Format
  • Field for 2 hours (unlined okay)
  • One team for admins to conduct training
  • Host’s facility permit available if needed on the day of the event
  • Lecture conducted virtually via Zoom Held on a day during the week prior to field training

National D License

  • Request form must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your event date
  • Minimum of 15 participants
  • Classroom, field, lights (if applicable), bathrooms, first aid kit
  • Host at event to provide permit if needed
  • Host must provide one (1) team for the 2-hour field portion

Total course length: 10 virtual meetings and 4 days of in-person meetings, with 5 hours in the classroom each day. This facility request is for the in-person portions. Virtual meetings are established by Cal South and communicated to all participants prior to the event dates.

Attendee Prerequisites to Register

Minimum participant age is 16 years old. Each attendee must complete the following online before registering:

  1. 1 Create a coaching profile Create a coaching profile in the US Soccer Learning Center (LC). Click here.
  2. 2 Complete the grassroots module Complete the “U.S. Soccer Introduction to Grassroots Coaching” module. Click here.

Attendee Fee: $550
