Robert Sibiga is a former Major League Soccer referee and is currently a PRO2 referee coach for the Professional Referee Organization (PRO). A native of Poland, Sibiga started out refereeing high school games in 2009, and soon moved into officiating for the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA).

He moved quickly up the ladder and officiated the US Youth Soccer National Championships in 2010 and 2011. He worked the United Soccer League Championship final in 2012 and then the NCAA Division 3 Women’s Final Four in 2013, the same year he was named as the Eastern New York Referee of the Year.

Remarkably, just four years into being a referee, Sibiga became a 4th Official for Major League Soccer. He eventually became the fastest referee to reach 100 center referee assignments in MLS history. He presided over the 2018 MLS All-Star Game and numerous MLS playoff matches, and in 2021, he reached his professional peak by being named the 2021 MLS Referee of the Year.

Unfortunately, after such a meteoric rise on the pitch, an undiagnosed concussion suffered during a match forced him to retire from the MLS referee ranks following 2021. He quickly switched over to teaching and mentoring future generations of referees. He has presented clinics and mentoring sessions for CONCACAF in Costa Rica and Mexico, for the US Armed Forces in Germany, and for numerous US Youth Soccer state associations. 

In July of 2025, Sibiga was named as the new Senior Director of Education for the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (NISOA).
