FRISCO, TX (Tuesday, August 19, 2025) – Cal South’s PRO+ Olympic Development Program (ODP) had 38 of its talented players selected to West Regional rosters last week for this year’s US Youth Soccer ODP Interregional teams.
The announcement on US Youth Soccer’s website last Friday, August 15 was in regard to boys and girls selected from the 14 western state associations ODP training pools in the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 age groups. Because of the larger numbers of players chosen in the 2012 and 2013 age groups, players were split into Olders and Youngers divisions.
In all, 13 boys and 25 girls from Cal South’s ODP pools were selected across the eight age groups,The West Regional teams will next play against the other three regional teams (East, Midwest, South) at the US Youth Soccer ODP Interregionals later this winter (dates yet to be announced).
“We are very proud of our players who have worked so hard to achieve placement on the Western region team rosters,” said Michael Chin, Cal South Director of Coaching Education and Player Development. “The talent and skill of our 38 selected boys and girls are a testament to the strength and consistency of our leagues and clubs, and Cal South Pro+ ODP, in developing players at a high level.”
