Prepping for the World Cup on “The Bear & the Ball” podcast

The FIFA World Cup is just 500 days away, and Los Angeles will play host to the biggest party in America. The Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission (LASEC) attracts, secures, and supports high-profile sports and entertainment events in L.A., and they’ll be driving the fan experience in 2026.

On this episode of “The Bear & the Ball,” Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Jason Krutzsch explains how LASEC will support FIFA and gives us a sneak peak of what we can expect when the World Cup lands in Southern California.

About the LASEC:
Since 1995, we’ve worked to make Los Angeles the most desired host city in the world.

The Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC) is the nonprofit organization officially designated to attract, secure, and support high-profile sports and entertainment events in the Los Angeles region. We champion Los Angeles by creating positive economic, cultural, and social impact that endures far beyond the field of play. LASEC serves as the singular resource for major events in the Los Angeles region, establishing connections with an expansive, reliable network of venues, teams, businesses, and community organizations to support individual event needs.

We have an unparalleled stretch of sports and entertainment events coming to our region this decade. Major events supported by LASEC include Super Bowl LVI in 2022, the 2022 MLB All-Star Game, the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship, WrestleMania 39, the 123rd U.S. Open Championship, the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball West Region Championship, NBA All-Star 2026, the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, FIFA World Cup 26™, Super Bowl LXI in 2027, and the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
