(Thursday, September 5, 2024) – The 2024 Cal South Labor Day Cup was a wonderful success over Labor Day Weekend – August 31 and September 1 – on the gloriously green fields at Kern County Soccer Park in Bakersfield, CA.

The tournament portion of the Labor Day Cup saw dozens of boys and girls soccer teams take part, and after two days of exciting play, ultimately resulted in champions and finalists being honored in nine different age brackets.

But the weekend at KCSP was so much more than just a youth soccer competition! On top of the great soccer action, hundreds of visitors at this family-friendly event enjoyed an atmosphere of fun at this holiday celebration of the American workforce.

Those looking for tasty snacks hit the food trucks with vigor while shoppers got the chance to peruse goods at the vendor booths. DJ PacMan brought the beats to those in the mood for dancing. Would-be cowpokes looking for a challenge could ride a bucking mechanical bull. Tough kids and brave adults alike wore themselves to a frazzle tackling Tuff Nutterz’s insanely huge (and wet) inflatable obstacle course!

And did we mention that there was a wild T-Rex on the loose with a squirt gun? (Seriously… there was!)
