SANTA ANA, Calif. (Monday, April 15, 2024) – The 2024 editions of both the Cal South State Cup and the Cal South National Cup closed this weekend, April 12 and 13, with a slam-bang flurry of finals matches on the pitch at Valley High School in Santa Ana. All games through the weekend were live-streamed on LA Sports Today’s YouTube channel.
2024 Cal South National Cup Olders
April 13-14, 2024
The 2024 Cal South National Cup Olders competition ended on Saturday, April 13 with the crowning of its last three champions for the year. In the Boys 2006/2005 (18U/19U) final, Downey FC topped FC Dynamo, 4-1; the 2007 (17U) Boys of Futbol Legacy FC Wolves defeated Titans FC, 5-2; and Boys 2008 (16U) SoCal Elite FC edged past Bakersfield Legacy SC, 2-1.

2024 Cal South National Cup Champions in Boys and Girls teams in the 13U through 19U age groups now advance to compete for a regional title in at the 2024 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships, June 21-27, 2024 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Winners at the Far West Regional Champions in the 13U through 19U age groups would then advance to compete in the 2024 US Youth Soccer National Championships, July 23-28, 2024 in Orlando, Florida.

Presidents Division
April 13-14, 2024
In the remaining four finals for the 2024 Cal South State Cup Presidents Division Olders, the first final was played on Saturday, April 12 with Crusaders FC shutting out Santa Barbara SC, 1-0.
The last three finals were contested on Sunday, April 13. Downtown Los Angeles SC also spun a shutout of Oxnard United SC, 2-0 to capture the Boys 2006/2005 (18U/19U) title. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Rangers FC were knotted up at 0-0, before FCA won the Boys 2007 (17U) trophy by coming out on top in PKs, 2-1. And finally, in the last match of the competition, Boys 2008 (16U) Crusaders FC won their second title of the weekend with a shutout of the aforementioned FCA, 2-0.
