Fullerton, CA (May 17, 2023) – The California State Soccer Association – South (Cal South) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Webster as the new Chair of the organization, effective immediately. Webster brings with him extensive experience in soccer administration and is well-respected in the California soccer community.
Webster has been involved in the Southern California soccer scene for over 30 years, and has held various leadership roles in youth and adult soccer including at the high school, college, and professional levels.
In his new role as Chair of Cal South, Webster will oversee the organization’s strategic direction and operations, working with the Board of Directors and staff to enhance the delivery of programs and services to Cal South’s membership base of over 80,000 players, coaches, and referees.
“I am honored to have been appointed as the Chair of Cal South, and I look forward to working with the Board of Directors and staff to continue to grow and develop the organization,” said Webster. “Soccer is such an important sport in California, and Cal South has a vital role to play in ensuring that everyone has access to the benefits of participating in this great game.”
Cal South is the official youth and adult state soccer association of the United States Soccer Federation and United States Youth Soccer. The organization is dedicated to providing leadership and support for the development of soccer in Southern California, and is committed to promoting and fostering the game at all levels of play.
Webster’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Cal South, as the organization looks to build on its recent successes and expand its programs and services to even more players, coaches, and referees throughout the region.
