RSVP now for our next
Cal South Referee Educational Webinar

Join us for our next live Referee Educational Webinar on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 7:00–8:30 p.m. Our special guest is MLS Referee Hilario “Chico” Grajeda.

GUEST BIO:
Chico Grajeda has been a Major League Soccer referee since 2004, with his first match being a game between Dallas Burn and Kansas City Wizards in July 2004. He served as the 4th Official during the MLS Cup in 2011 and 2012, and as a referee in the 2013 MLS Cup. He was selected to receive the MLS Referee of the Year award in 2013.

That same year, on July 31, he was the first referee to try out the “Ref Cam” in a friendly game between A.S. Roma and the MLS All-Stars, a head-mounted camera that gives the fans the opportunity to see the game in the referee’s point of view. After 2018, Grajeda transitioned to primarily performing the role of Video Assistant Referee.

Grajeda also works as a High Performance Coach, helping to train collegiate and professional athletes run faster, jump higher, be stronger, more explosive and reduce the chance for injuries on the pitch, track or court.
