Anaheim, CA (Tuesday, March 18, 2025) – The Cal South Referee Program is pleased to announce that Jesus Cisneros has been appointed as the new Cal South State Referee Director of Assignments effective immediately.
Cisneros’ fourteen-year (2000-2014) refereeing career included an MLS stint as a 4th official (2011-2014); working international tournaments in Portugal and Mexico; officiating the Lamar Open Cup and in the USL; refereeing college games for NCAA D1 and D2 games, the WAC and PAC12 conference, and in the NCAA Finals; and a run as a CIF High School Finals referee for Divisions 1 and 2 (2006-2010).
“Life comes full circle at pivotal moments, and that moment has arrived for me,” said Cisneros. “I am proud of my career and ready to step into this new chapter as the State Director of Assignments. It is a privilege to impact both current and upcoming referee classes.”
On the administrative side of his career, Cisneros served as a Manager of Operations for Entertainment Venues for six years, as a Director of Soccer Programming for five years, as Cal South’s Kern County Soccer Park Director for the last three years, and continues his run as a Cal South Referee Instructor and Mentor for the last dozen years. In his personal life, Jesus has been married to his wife Jenmy for twelve years, and has three children: Adriana, Stephen, and Jessie Rose.
“I am committed to serving the community of referees, referee coaches, and assignors,” Cisneros continued. “Together, we will elevate our referee program and enhance its standards. We will do this with unwavering dedication to the sport and uphold the reputation of the premier referee organization in the county.”
Cal South and our Referee Program express our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to Andre Wolas for his service for the last five years on the State Referee Committee. Andre continues to assign events and serve as an important part of our Cal South community.
