Cal South Pro+ ODP Announces Spring 2024 Training Pools for the 2010 & 2011 Age Groups

FULLERTON, Calif. (Thursday, February 15, 2024) – Following the announcement last week of the Spring 2024 Training Pool invitees for the 2012 and 2013 age groups, Cal South’s Pro+ Olympic Development Program (ODP) today further announced the boys and girls it has selected for the 2010 and 2011 age groups.

Training weekends for these pools will be held at Ventura College in the month of March, with the 2011 boys and girls training on March 16-17, and the 2010 boys and girls training on March 23-24. Ventura College is located at 4667 Telegraph Road in Ventura, CA.

Each age group of players will be training to strive to make their respective 24-player pools that will be invited to attend the Cal South ODP Elite Development Camps in Ojai, CA. The boys camp will occur July 7-10, while the Girls camp will take place July 11-14.

With the addition of four more regional titles this past January, Cal South PRO+ ODP teams have won an astounding 116 US Youth Soccer ODP West Regional Championships, with an additional 38 ODP USYS National Championships on top of that remarkable number.

“I always put the success of our PRO+ ODP teams at these events down 100% to the fantastic clubs and coaches throughout Cal South who train these players day to day,” said Steve Hoffman, Cal South’s Director of Coaching Education and Player Development. “It is because of all their remarkable efforts in guiding and developing these players that Cal South PRO+ ODP gets an opportunity to show the rest of the country, on both a regional and national level, how rich Southern California is in soccer talent.”

Hoffman adds, “The players forming this spring’s pools are selected from clubs in Southern California no matter what league they play in. Every club, coach, and parent that has a player chosen into PRO+ ODP, should be extremely proud of the job their clubs are doing with player development.”

“We tell our players the same thing every year: ‘Performance equals success,’” Hoffman continued. “If you play well consistently and to your full potential, the results will be there.”

Cal South congratulates all its talented PRO+ ODP players that have made our Spring Training Pool lists. Now, be brave and go for it!
