It’s that fun, spooky day once again! However, what IS really scary is not being prepared!
Cal South Spring registration is open, and with it, we want our members to be aware of new additions in our system as well as serve as a reminder regarding upcoming Age Matrix changes…
First, the New:
This year, you will note we added to the season name: “Winter/Spring”. There has been an increased interest in winter play, and thusly, we have added this option within our traditional spring season.
Another new feature is that this season is open to have more than just one running application. This will allow a player to participate in a winter league as well as in a spring league for another team!
Finally, the Reminder:
Our system will still show the Calendar option for those that insist on continuing to use it one last season. Per U.S. Soccer and US Youth’s decision back in June to choose the August 1st school year for Fall age calculation, we are highly recommending all clubs use that calculation for Winter/Spring to help teams transition. Next Fall 2026-27, all clubs will only have the August 1st school year option, so let’s not wait until then for the team change.
