National Qualifying Events: 5v5 Soccer provides over 200 National Qualifying Events across the country, with Cal South becoming a bi-annual location for the 5v5 Soccer National Championship. Teams who finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in their Qualifying Event will qualify for the National Championship.
5v5 soccer is excellent for player development with fewer players on the field, each player gets more touches on the ball, increasing their involvement and opportunities to practice dribbling, passing, and shooting. The smaller field size also demands quicker thinking and faster reactions, helping players develop agility, spatial awareness, and tactical understanding. Additionally, 5v5 games encourage communication and collaboration, which are essential for building strong team dynamics.

The Cal South 5v5 Soccer series of tournaments is aimed at helping more players play more soccer more often. These one-day tournaments will help to provide more soccer to your local community, create a new marquee event for Host Clubs, while delivering additional fundraising for our local Host Partners.
The Cal South 5v5 Soccer series can be played in as a one-off event for a team, or teams can participate in any number of them. Teams that finish 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at any event will qualify for the 5v5 Soccer National Championship at the end of the year. The 5v5 Soccer National Championship has teams from across the country coming to compete to be crowned #1!
