December 21, 2023 (Fullerton, CA) – This is a reminder to all Cal South Affiliate Member leagues and clubs that the Balloting Period for electing two (2) positions on the 2024 Cal South Board of Directors opens up next week on Thursday, December 28, 2023. The Balloting Period will remain open through January 18, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. PT.

On or just before the date that the Balloting Period opens, Affiliate Member presidents will receive a voting link email from CalSouth@tievote.com, which will include the ballot and bios for each candidate. They should also be aware that nominees may be reaching out to the Affiliates to campaign as early as December 21, 2023 in advance of the Balloting Period.

With a week to go before balloting opens, this is a good time to remind everyone that elections at any level, whether local, regional, national, or even organizational, are extremely important.

There is nobody involved in our Affiliate Members who has not invested deeply – whether financially, emotionally, or otherwise – in our sport, and voting should be considered as carefully as in any election.

If you feel strongly about the future of both youth and adult soccer in Southern California, electing the right nominees to join the board should be a priority, as they will be involved in determining the course of the association through the following year.
