159 Cal South Pro+ ODP Players Invited to US Youth Soccer ODP Summer ID Events

(Wednesday, March 6, 2024) – 159 very talented Cal South Pro+ Olympic Development Program (ODP) players have been invited to take part in a pair of US Youth Soccer ODP Summer Identification events coming up in July in Salt Lake City.

85 girls and 74 boys from Cal South Pro+ ODP’s rich talent pools were selected to receive invitations to the events, where they will train and compete with players from all 14 USYS Western Region states. The girls’ Summer ID Camp is scheduled to take place July 6-8, 2024, while the boy’s Summer ID Camp will take place July 12-14, 2024.

“I always put the success of our PRO+ ODP teams at these events down 100% to the fantastic clubs and coaches throughout Cal South who train these players day to day,” said Steve Hoffman, Cal South’s Director of Coaching Education and Player Development.

“It is because of all their remarkable efforts in guiding and developing these players that Cal South PRO+ ODP gets an opportunity to show the rest of the country, on both a regional and national level, how rich Southern California is in soccer talent.”

Hoffman adds, “The players forming this spring’s pools are selected from clubs in Southern California no matter what league they play in. Every club, coach, and parent that has a player chosen into PRO+ ODP, should be extremely proud of the job their clubs are doing with player development.”
