Cal South is pleased to announce that registration for the 2026 editions of Cal South State Cup and Cal South National Cup is still open for all youth ages and divisions!  

We are very excited to have both tournaments open for any team wishing to participate with no restrictions based on their affiliation.

For just two more days, you can take advantage of Regular Rate pricing for the following age groups and division before the deadline closes this Wednesday, November 19th at 11:59 p.m.:

  • State Cup Mayors Division All age groups
  • State Cup Presidents Division Youngers (9U-14U)
  • National Cup Youngers (12U-14U)

[Note: For these age groups and divisions once we reach the deadline, prices switch to their late registration rates the very next day on November 20th.]

A Message from Cal South CEO Jeff Dyrek:

"Cal South continues to make great strides in strengthening and improving its many programs and events to provide the best opportunities for all of our members, adding to the continued growth we have seen at the membership level. Through the excellent efforts of our staff and board members, we listen hard to the needs of our members and do our best to find solutions for them.

…THE official state youth and adult soccer association representing the Southern California area for US Youth Soccer (USYS) and the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF), we are the umbrella organization for over 200 local affiliate member leagues and clubs.

Starting in 1974 and continuing for over 50 years now, Cal South has provided rewarding recreational and competitive soccer opportunities for players of all ages, genders, and skill levels.

If you signed up your child to play fall soccer this season with any of our affiliate member leagues or clubs, then you are not just a member of that league or club, but a member of Cal South too!

Cal South seeks to create a sustained atmosphere of safety and respect both on and off the field for all participants involved, not just for players, but also coaches, referees, parents, administrators, and spectators. We are confronting the terrible rise in referee abuse and racial violence on soccer pitches head on by aligning with the policies of FIFA and U.S. Soccer. Our RESPECT campaign was launched a couple of years ago and continues to educate our members, starting at the game level by seeking to reduce unneccesary interactions between referees and participants, and also by protecting youth referees.

Dates announced for events to be played in Mesa, Ariz.

FRISCO, Texas (June 12, 2025) — The National League is excited to announce the dates and locations for its winter events for the 2025-26 season. These events provide participating teams with chances to qualify for the 2026 USYS National Championships, presented by New York Life, and the inaugural edition of The National League Cup.

Each winter event will take place at the Arizona Athletic Grounds, in Mesa, Ariz.

The winter events are open to only teams playing The National League in the 2025-26 season, and team applications are now being accepted for the events. All teams must apply to participate in a winter event, and the deadline to apply is July 7, 2025.

November Event

Boys – Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2025
Girls – Nov. 7-9, 2025

January Event

Boys – Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2026
Girls – Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2026

APPLY FOR A WINTER EVENT HERE

Each participating team will play at one of the two event options. Competition is available for boys and girls teams that are playing in the 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 19U age groups during the 2025-26 youth soccer season.

Teams will be accepted for the winter events based on their history of performance — giving any applying team the chance to earn its way into the highly competitive field. Within each age group, 40 total teams will compete in the winter events, with the teams divided evenly among two events (20 teams per event).

At the events, teams are split into five groups of four, and each team plays its three group opponents over three days. Teams earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.

Teams that finish in first place in their four-team group will advance to the 2026 USYS National Championships as a National League representative. Teams that finish in second place in their four-team group at the winter events will earn a spot into The NL Cup at the end of the 2025-26 season.

About The National League: Established in 2007, The National League represents the top league platform in US Youth Soccer and offers both team-based and club-based league formats across the country. National League teams experience high-level localized competition with national connectivity through events and The National League Cup — an annual postseason competition that determines the league’s best team in each age group.

Registration is now open for the 2024 Cal South League America Cup for Districts 3 & 4 (Orange County and Los Angeles County), which will take place on the weekend of December 14-15, 2024 at Silverlakes Sports Complex in Norco, CA.

Competition: Open to all recreational teams. Even though it is a District 3 (Orange County) and District 4 (Los Angeles County) tournament, teams from all other districts, both affiliated and unaffiliated, are invited to attend.

Dates: December 14-15, 2024

Age Groups: Boys & Girls 10U (2015), 12U (2013), 14U (2011)

Fees Per Team to Participate (referee fees included):

  • AFFILIATED TEAMS: $550.00 (10U) | $575.00 (12U) | $675.00 (14U)
  • UNAFFILIATED TEAMS: $675.00 (10U) | $700.00 (12U) | $800.00 (14U)
