CAL SOUTH – US Soccer “D” Course Ventura, CA

U.S. Soccer National D License – Blended Course (Ventura)

Course Dates: April 20, 2026 – June 15, 2026

Location (In-Person): Ventura College, 4667 Telegraph Rd, Ventura, CA 93003

Course Fee: $550

The U.S. Soccer National D License hosted by Cal South is a blended online and in-person course.
This format combines online learning, assignments, small group meetings, independent learning,
and in-person sessions led by a licensed U.S. Soccer Educator.

Eligibility Requirements (must meet ONE option):

• Introduction to Grassroots Coaching
• Two (2) Different Grassroots In-Person Licenses (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11)
• One (1) Grassroots Online License (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11)

OR

• Introduction to Grassroots Coaching
• Previously Earned U.S. Soccer E License

OR

• Introduction to Grassroots Coaching
• Previously Earned U.S. Soccer F License
• Two (2) Grassroots In-Person Licenses (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11)

Additional Requirement: Coaches must have access to a team (U7–U12) for the duration of the course.

Course Experience: 55+ hours (virtual + in-person)

Course Duration: 9 weeks (including summative assessment) with 4 in-person days

Weekly learning opportunities include online modules, live virtual meetings, and in-person
sessions. Coaches should have internet access and a device with webcam capabilities and be
prepared to actively participate.

Assessment Areas:

• Leadership and Managing the Environment
• Coaching Games
• Coaching Training Sessions

Summative Assessment (Final Projects):

• Design one (1) training session plan (three activities)
• Coach one (1) training session (30 minutes of uninterrupted video)

Course Outcome: Upon successful completion, coaches will receive the U.S. Soccer D License.

Course Policy: Coaches must attend all meetings and complete all assignments
by due dates to be eligible to receive the license.
