Orlando, FL (Saturday, July 27, 2024) – Los Angeles Soccer Club were thwarted today in their quest for the Boys 15U national title at the 2024 US Youth Soccer National Championships, taking place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida from July 23-28.
LASC faced off against Florida’s Miami Breakers at 8:00 a.m. EDT this morning, but came up shy of moving to Sunday’s finals round as the Breakers topped LASC, 3-2 by match’s end. LASC had come out on top of their B15U bracket after the first three days of opening play, giving up no goals in their three matches, but couldn’t quite get past Miami to move forward.
Although we had ten teams taking part in this year’s National Championships, Cal South now leaves Orlando without any teams making the finals. Despite this, we wish nothing but congratulations to LASC and all of our teams on their incredible efforts on the pathway towards and then playing at the National Championship level! We are proud of you all and the excellence in player development and coaching represented by our Affiliate Member leagues and clubs!
Tomorrow (Friday, July 26) will be a day of rest for the teams, and then play picks up again on Saturday, July 27 with the semi-finals round. To close the tournament, the finals round will be contested on Sunday, July 28.

Cal South Teams at the 2024 USYS National Championships
Six of the ten teams registered through Cal South and took the path toward the National Championships by competing in the Cal South National Cup tournament earlier this year, which won them spots in the Far West Regionals in June. The other four teams earned their spots registering through the Elite 64 competition. The breakdown of teams lies below…
