The United States Men’s National Team will train at Great Park in Irvine, California during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, providing a Southern California base as the team prepares for matches across the United States.

The USMNT is expected to arrive in Irvine following its June 6 friendly against Germany. From there, the location offers convenient travel for group stage matches including two at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

Great Park Championship Soccer Stadium, built on the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro site, seats more than 5,000 spectators and sits within a park complex spanning over 1,300 acres with sports fields, trails, playgrounds and community spaces.

Irvine, CA (Sunday, March 2, 2025) – MesoAmerica San Carlos won the 2025 Cal South Adult State Cup men’s championship title tonight with a 1-0 shutout victory over Oxnard FC. The match was played Sunday evening at the OC Great Park Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine, CA.

Though the play was hard-fought and close throughout the match, a single goal by MesoAmerica in the fifteenth minute had Oxnard attempting to play catch-up the remainder of the way.

As a result of their efforts, Meso capture the 2025 Adult State Cup trophy and a $10,000 check from co-presenters Cal South and UPSL.

Congratulations to both teams for the exciting conclusion to an excellent tournament, and special congratulations to MesoAmerica for their victory!
