Six Cal South teams were crowned Champions in Sunday’s 2019 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup tournament at SilverLakes Park in Norco, Calif. Of those six, the San Diego Surf 2007 Girls won the 12U Regional Championship and do not move on to a national title. However, five Cal South teams will be headed to the National Presidents Cup Championship to be held July 10-14 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Downtown SC (14UB), AVSC Storm Academy (14UG), Beach FC (15UG), California Rush (18UB), Central California Aztecs (18UG) are the five Cal South teams that will move on to fight for a national title. Beach FC won the National Presidents Cup title in 2017, and two years later, the team will be going for their second national title. Just last year, the Central California Aztecs won a National Presidents Cup title in the Boys 14 and Under age group, winning the club’s first-ever national championship.

Cal South will continue its coverage in Tennessee through its website CalSouthEvents.com. A full recap schedule can be found using the link below, in addition to a photo slideshow of the tournament.
