Nine Cal South teams are headed to Frisco, Texas to participate in the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Championship Series after earning their place through the US Youth Soccer Far West Regionals that took place from June 18-24 in Honolulu. In this year’s competition that was held in Hawaii, Cal South had a record of 37 teams participating.

CDA FC Slammers (13UB), San Diego Surf (13UG), Arsenal FC (14UG), Total Futbol Academy (15UB), Beach FC (15UG), Santa Barbara SC (17UB), Rebels SC (17UG), CDA Slammers FC (18UG) and FC Golden State (19UB) clinched a Far West Regionals title and their ticket to nationals.

Boca Juniors LA (16UB) and Strikers FC South Bay (19UB) finished the tournament as finalists, falling in the championship match.

Cal South will have a total of 12 teams participating in the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, with Fullerton Rangers, Legends FC (both 16UG) and WCFC Armour (18UB) advancing directly from the 2017-18 US Youth Soccer National League.
