LA Wolves FC and FC Long Beach will meet this Saturday at 7:30 pm for a chance to clinch the 2017 Cal South Adult State Cup Men’s Division title in Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Stadium. Prior to this match, Moreno Valley FC and San Nicolas will face each other to decide the Third and Fourth Place team; the game will begin at 5:30 pm, also at CSUF.

It’s been a long journey for all four teams to get to the Final Four of the Cal South Adult State Cup Men’s Division. In a tournament that kicked off in early April, 16 Southern California teams competed to be the top Men’s Division Team in the region.

The Wolves finished in first place of Group B, followed by their next contender, FC Long Beach, who finished second. While the Wolves swept through the group phase with three wins, 22 goals in favor and six against, FC Long Beach was able to earn two wins, only falling to the Wolves in the final game of the group phase.

While the Wolves knocked out the San Pedro Monsters in Quarterfinals and Moreno Valley FC in Semifinals, FC Long Beach triumphed over LAUSC in the Quarterfinals, and then defeated San Nicolas in the Semis 2-1.

On Saturday, Cal South will award the Adult State Cup Men’s Division Champion a trophy, medals and a $7,500 cash prize; the Finalist will take home a trophy and medals as well, with a $5,000 cash prize. The Third and Fourth Place teams earn a trophy and a $2,500 and $1,500 cash prize, respectively.
