Five Cal South teams are heading to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup Championships that are set to begin on Thursday, July 11, with finals set for Sunday, July 14. Click here to view the tournament’s full schedule.

Downtown SC (14UB), AVSC Storm Academy (14UG), Beach FC (15UG), California Rush (18UB), Central California Aztecs (18UG) all earned a berth into the fight for a national title after clinching the 2019 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup title, tournament that was held June 11-16 at SilverLakes Park in Norco.

Beach FC won the National Presidents Cup title in 2017, and two years later, the team will be going for their second national title. Also in 2017, Downtown SC clinched their first national title, also in the same age group. Just last year, the Central California Aztecs won a National Presidents Cup title in the Boys 14 and Under age group, winning the club’s first-ever national championship.

In addition to the five teams, Luis Oropeza will be the Cal South Referee representative officiating in this elite national tournament.
