Legends IE (16UG) and Legends FC (17UG) have moved on the Semifinal Round of the tournament, while Albion SC (13UG) will dispute a National Championship on Friday at 5:00 pm PT. Upon conclusion of bracket play, Rebels SC (13UB), San Diego SC (16UG), FC Golden State (19UB) and Legends FC South (19UG) will be heading home, missing their chance to play for a National Championship.
Rebels SC played for honor on Thursday morning, after being eliminated of further contention. The San Diego-based team faced a strong FC Dallas squad, that was also out of further contention, but both teams put on an unforgettable game that kept their families on their toes. The Texas-North team was awarded a penalty kick early on in the game, giving them the early lead. Rebels fought back, earning the equalizer, but despite having plenty of chances at goal, Dallas capitalized on an opportunity for the 2-1 final score.
Legends FC secured their ticket into the Semifinal with a 2-1 win over SJEB Rush from New Jersey. The match started off slow for Legends, but slowly gained intensity, allowing the Chino Hills team to knock in the first goal of the match. Shortly thereafter, a shot on goal from Legends hit the post and rebounded off the Rush goalkeeper into the goal for the second goal. Rush came back into the second half and knocked in the 2-1 early on.
