News and updates concerning COVID-19 happen constantly these days. Having easy access to guidelines for conducting sports activities in Southern California is vital for keeping our players, coaches, referees, and families as safe as possible. To this end, Cal South has provided this resource page on which all our members may quickly find information regarding the latest developments about COVID-19 in all of Cal South’s local counties.

Click on “California” below and then click your county to see what resource pages they provide for you to find current protocol announcements regarding COVID-19. If you are playing in a Southern California county other than your home county, it is also important to keep up on current protocols pertaining to masks and social distancing there too.

Cal South’s guidelines, best practices, and updates regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19).

To reinforce health safety and best practices for illness prevention, please read the list below:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Follow the CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  •  If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

Para reforzar la seguridad de la salud y las mejores prácticas para la prevención de enfermedades, lea la siguiente lista:

  • Evitar el contacto cercano con personas que están enfermas.
