“We’re very excited to host the Recreational All-Star Tournament, a celebration of recreational soccer,” said Hector Tovar, Cal South Recreation Soccer Manager. “We strive to give our players and their families the best soccer experience possible and we just hope everyone has a great time.”
Over 60 Boys and Girls All-Star teams from all Cal South Districts in the U-10, U-12, and U-14 age levels will look to excel in the four-team groups to earn a berth in the final championship match. The group phase will have teams play three games, with the group winners advancing to the final championship game, while runner ups will play a consolation match. All recreational players are eligible to participate, but will only be allowed to play in one team.
This will be Cal South’s third Recreational All-Star Tournament of Champions in its history, with this edition being the first time it is hosted at the SilverLakes Sports Complex; the previous two were held at Frances Ryan Park in Escondido.
