Cal South alumnae Alex Morgan and Christen Press are set to begin their journey with the U.S Women’s National Team in their quest to conquer their fourth star at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, tournament scheduled to kick off this Friday, June 7 in France.

As part of Group F, the U.S will play their first match on Tuesday, June 11 at 12:00 PM PT against Thailand (TV: FOX, Telemundo).

In addition to the two Cal South alumnae, Southern California Referee Felisha Mariscal will be among those officiating in the tournament.

The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be the third tournament of its kind for Morgan, having played in the 2011 edition in Germany, as well as in the latest edition in 2015 when the U.S conquered its third World Cup title. Slammers FC alum Press was also part of the 2015 squad, with the 2019 tournament begin her second run for a World Cup.
