Adult State Cup Groups Begin To Take Shape; Bye Week Coming Up

The Cal South Adult State Cup Men’s and Women’s groups begin to take shape after the third week of action in the top amateur soccer tournament in Southern California. The tournament is set to continue on Saturday, March 16 with the exception of two Men’s matches (listed below).

The following is a recap of last weekend’s action, along with recap videos courtesy of LA Sports Today, and the next games on the schedule.

In the Women’s Premier Division, LA Villa FC claimed the top spot in Group B but leads in the Division with six points. Meanwhile in the Men’s Premier Division, Kern County Mustangs FC is having a great first season in the Adult State Cup tournament, leading in the Division and in Group A in the top spot.

The race for the top spot is on in the Men’s First Division lead, with Buena Park FC currently leading with seven points in Group A, but LAFC doesn’t fall far behind with six points in Group B. In the Men’s Over 30, Real Sociedad beat Elite SC last weekend, clinching the top spot in the division.
