CAL SOUTH UNVEILS UPDATED MEMBER I.D. CARD
REGISTRARS CAN NOW UPLOAD AND EASILY PRINT PLAYER PHOTOS ON CARDS

May 20, 2008 (Fullerton, CA) – In an effort to make the easy identification of players and coaches a more fluid process, Cal South recently announced several changes to its Membership Identification Cards for the upcoming 2008-2009 season.

Outside of the basic redesign of the cards, the biggest change is the ability for certified registrars to upload player photos into CORIS, the Cal South Online Registration Information System. Registrars for each league or club can then print the photos onto the cards, in a manner similar to that used in the administrative process. Each Member I.D. and Member Pass (the portion of the Member I.D. that is officially used by coaches at games) must have a photo on it, and all photos must appear on the front face of the card.

Another significant change is that players are no longer required to record their signature on their Member Passes. There is now no requirement for a signature on each card other than that of the league-certified registrar. The league-certified registrar’s signature must appear on every Member Pass for a team’s players.

Below is a list of frequently asked questions regarding the new Cal South Membership Identification Cards:

MEMBER I.D. F.A.Q. FOR LEAGUE REGISTRARS

When can I use these cards?
As of July 1, registrars may begin printing and distributing the new cards to their league or club’s members. All leagues must be utilizing the new Member I.D. cards by the first weekend of league play for the 2008-2009 season

Can we use the old cards?
Yes, but only through Labor Day Weekend 2008. After that, entering the new season, the updated style of member I.D. cards must be utilized.

How will I get my supply of cards for my league or club?
The Cal South League Account Management department will determine how many cards each registrar requires based on their previous year’s allotment with 10 percent growth figured into the final total. The Cal South League Account Management department will begin distribution of the new cards beginning early in June.

Is it mandatory to upload player and coach photos into the CORIS system?
No, but whether put on manually or through printing, a photo must appear on each member’s I.D. card. This applies to everyone. Uploading the photos, though, just makes the process of creating the cards easier for you in the long run.
