HRH CORPORATION SELECTED AS INSURANCE BROKER
Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs (HRH), is the insurance broker of record for Cal South. HRH is the nation’s seventh largest insurance broker in the United States. The HRH’s impressive sports clientele list includes Major League Soccer, USA Cycling, the New York Yankees and countless other MLB and minor league affiliate teams.
Each year, we re-evaluate our program based on your feedback and work to provide the best coverage available for youth soccer. We are thrilled to have HRH as part of our Cal South team and are excited with the improved coverage, service and benefits that will extend to our Member Leagues.
WHAT NEW POLICIES DO WE HAVE?
We have obtained policies for Soccer Accident Insurance (“SAI”), General Liability Insurance and General Liability Excess which is commonly referred to as “umbrella” insurance. In addition, we have secured a new D&O Policy (Directors and Officers) which features an increased limit of dedicated member league coverage. The limit has increased from $3M limit per league with a $3M yearly aggregate to $5M limit per league with a 5M yearly aggregate for all leagues. This protection extends to all Cal South Member Leagues and provides coverage for all league officers and volunteers under their umbrella. The policy period is effective September 1st and extends through August 31st.

What is the process for filing an SAI claim?
The process begins by completing the “insurance claim questionnaire." That form can be accessed through the CalSouth.com website under accident insurance, or by clicking on this link. Once the form is received in the office and verification of participant involvement is confirmed, a Notification of Injury packet will be mailed to the member.
Is there a time limitation to filing an SAI insurance claim?
Yes, the claim must be filed within 12 months of the injury.
If our league has an office, will the Cal South general liability program cover me for my premises operations?
The scope of coverage for the Cal South general liability policy relates specifically to youth sanctioned team field events and related team activities.
Why do we need to get our general liability certificates of insurance over the internet?
This is a tremendous Member Benefit provided by Cal South to our Member Leagues as part of our insurance program. It places control in the hands of our Member Leagues, who can now issue Field Liability certificates at the push of a button. Membership increasingly has its privileges, and this happens to be one. You can access the eCertsOnline log-on page on the CalSouth.com website under Liability Insurance, or by clicking on this link.
Will my league be charged for each certificate?
Yes, for each seasonal year, each certificate will cost $35 and will be incorporated into the monthly league bill. You are not charged for creating multiple copies of the same certificate.
What if I can’t figure out how to use the online insurance certificate tool?
